Our Story
Novastar was born from a simple belief: every child is talented and capable of growing to their full potential. Founded in 2015 as a nonprofit tutoring and community program, Novastar spent nearly a decade laying the groundwork for something bigger.
Novastar Kids Co opened in 2023, bringing safe, nurturing childcare and preschool to families in Aurora. In 2024, we opened Novastar Academy, a tuition-free, independent K-8 school in Centennial, Colorado, giving families in the greater Denver area a new kind of option for their children's education.

Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom
Culinary Arts Starts in Kindergarten
Career exploration begins in kindergarten, where students learn in a fully equipped culinary arts kitchen and build toward credit-bearing CTE courses by middle school.
A STEM Lab Built for Real Discovery
Novastar students don't read about engineering — they build, test, and problem-solve in a dedicated STEM lab through hands-on projects tied to international academic standards.
AI and Coding Start in Kindergarten
Novastar introduces coding and AI starting in kindergarten, so by middle school students are building real digital design projects and earning CTE credits that count toward graduation.
No Grade Levels. Just Growth.
Students are grouped by ability and skill rather than age or grade level, so every child is challenged at exactly the right level and progress is measured against their own growth.
