How Novastar's Homeschool Option Lets Your Child Thrive Without Doing It Alone
You've thought about homeschooling. Maybe more than once. The idea of building a learning experience around your child (their pace, their passions, their needs) makes a lot of sense. But then the doubts creep in: What about their friends? Who holds us accountable? How do I make sure they don't miss something important?
For families in the Centennial area, there's now an answer that doesn't ask you to choose between freedom and support. Novastar's tuition-free homeschool enrichment program is designed for exactly this moment: for parents who are ready to take the lead on their child's education but don't want to go at it alone.
Homeschool Flexibility on Your Schedule with Access to Our Campus
For many families, traditional homeschooling puts everything on the parent's shoulders: curriculum selection, schedule design, social opportunities, and accountability. Traditional schools offer structure and community, but little room to adapt to how your specific child actually learns.
Novastar's homeschool program lives in the space between. Students in grades K-12 come to campus at least one day per week (Tuesdays or Wednesdays, your choice) for elective classes, enrichment, lunch, and time with peers. The rest of the week, families manage core academics at home, with or without the support of Novastar's recommended Strong Mind online curriculum. You set the pace. Novastar brings the infrastructure.
What’s Included at No Cost to Families:
On-campus elective days (Tuesdays or Wednesdays) for the entire day: 8:30am-3:00pm
Lunch and snacks on all campus days
Access to our state-of-the-art facilities: STEM lab, performing arts space, gymnasium, art studio, library and more
Elective and enrichment classes taught by certified educators
Strong Mind online curriculum support for home academics
A real school community: peers, teachers, and events (field trips!)
State testing requirements are part of homeschooling in Colorado. Novastar maps it all out for you, so you always know what's next and when to expect it.

Who Novastar’s Homeschool Program Is Built For
Novastar's homeschool option is a strong fit if any of these resonate with you:
Parents who've been exploring homeschool but worry about the "what ifs" of structure and socialization
Families with a child whose learning pace or style doesn't fit the traditional classroom mold
Families in transition (moving, managing medical needs, or figuring out the right long-term fit) who need an adaptive option now
Parents who tried homeschool and found it isolating, and want the community piece back
Parents who have a flexible schedule and want to be more involved in their child's education
No matter where your family starts, Novastar is built to grow with you.
One of Novastar's most distinctive features is its continuum. Novastar Kids Co serves children from infancy through PreK at the Aurora campus, while Novastar Academy at the Centennial campus serves K-8. Whether your child starts with the homeschool program and later transitions to full-time enrollment, or moves between hybrid and on-campus arrangements as your family's needs evolve, there's a path here that doesn't require starting over.
That continuity is something most school options simply can't offer. At Novastar, you don't age out. You grow into the next chapter together.
